The VHF Squadron (Veterans Having Fun) is comprised primarily of current and retired military pilots flying homebuilt experimental RV aircraft. All aircraft are 2 seat tandem tailwheel aircraft . The Squadron has performed at several flyins throughout the year and The Auburn Red Cross flyin has been one of our favorites due to the enthusiastic crowd and local support for the veterans. We also fly for the Lake Martin "Children's Harbor" which hosts various support group camps for children and young adults who are facing some tough life challenges. The average flight time per pilot exceeds 20,000 hours each with all members having flown some type of fighter aircraft prior to joining VHF.
